Back flow Prevention Assembly and Testing Requirements

Residential

A backflow prevention assembly is required on lawn irrigation systems.

A backflow prevention assembly may be required on certain types of residential businesses.

Commercial

Testing

It is required by law that all backflow assemblies be tested annually. Public Law 99-399-Safe Drinking Water Act Amendments of 1996 10 CSR 60-11.010.

If you are moving into new construction, please send us a copy of the initial Backflow Prevention Assembly Test Data and Maintenance Report.

All backflow prevention assemblies must be tested annually and a copy of the Backflow Prevention Assembly Test Data and Maintenance Report sent to our office.  Any accounts not in compliance are subject for disconnection of service.  If you have not had a certified tester inspect your device within the last year and submit the required report to our office, your account is non-compliant.
